In Spring Summer 2025, Piazza Castello writes in two hands: Poetry and Heredity. Poetry speaks to movement, light, and the quiet drama of fabric in air. Heredity anchors the line in craft, lineage, and the rituals that make a garment endure. Together they form a season composed like a stanza, measured, musical, and built to last.
In the portraits at home, knitwear sets the tone. Cashmere knits are soft at the surface and calm in line, made for the pause between day and evening. Buttons, ribs and edges are kept precise so the pieces read as modern heirlooms, worn close to the skin and remembered for their feel rather than their decoration.
Out in the landscape, silk becomes the language of the collection. Shirts, dresses and wide-leg trousers loosen the silhouette and let light travel through the weave. Prints are drawn like sketches from nature, sometimes veiled and painterly, sometimes with crisp, archival intent. The cut remains exact even when the fabric is fluid, so volume never overpowers the body. Belts, ties and softly structured collars keep the form intelligent and serene.
Pattern is treated as handwriting. Stripes stretch the figure and mark time across the frame. Abstract grounds echo leaves, sky and stone. A single motif returns across shirts and skirts, establishing a quiet continuity that links pieces without insisting on a set.
The making follows the house’s rulebook. Silk is finished for clarity and touch. Cashmere is spun for strength and drape at the gauges that serve daily life. Seams are clean, hems are balanced, and hardware is chosen for longevity. Sourcing is deliberate, from Inner Mongolian fibres to mills and ateliers that value precision as much as beauty.
Styling completes the verse. A silk shirt opens at the throat and pairs with matching trousers for a column of ease. A printed dress ties at the waist and moves with the breeze, refined enough for a gallery, effortless in a garden. Knit cardigans sit over lighter bases, adding a note of quiet structure. Jewellery is sculptural rather than loud. Shoes are soft and grounded.
Poetry & Heredity is not a theme pinned to a moodboard. It is a way of building a wardrobe with meaning. Each piece carries the clarity of modern design and the calm of good materials, intended to be worn, cared for, and handed forward. The season reads softly on the eye and firmly in the hand, a collection composed for now and for what comes next.
